Intimacy-anger and insecure attachment as precursors of abuse in intimate relationships
Compared a large sample of wife-batterers against a matched control group. Batterers were less secure and more fearful and preoccupied. They also scored higher on measures of anger, jealousy, borderline personality disorder, and trauma symptoms.
