Biological preprogramming of infant behaviour

Pointed out that imprinting is appropriate for some animals in some circumstances but would be inappropriate in humans.  It is more appropriate for humans to have a mechanism to interact with those who care for them and learn their patterns of behaviour, rather than to simply imprint.
