Holding therapy: A way of helping unattached children
Referring to children with what came to be known as Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD):
'traditional child therapies are usually not effective with these children .... [A] surprising number of unattached children have had years of therapy with little or no change in how they approach relationships' (p. 72).
