The differential effects of abuse characteristics and attachment in the prediction of long-term effects of sexual abuse

Tested a large sample of women reporting incestuous abuse during childhood using clinical scales and the Relationship Questionnaire (RQ; 1991). Found the following attachment distributions: Secure = 14%, Preoccupied = 13%, Dismissing = 16%, and Feaful = 58%.
